Description
~click image for a larger view~ 1929 National Style 1 metal body soprano uke w/hsc Some like 'em clean. Here, you are offered an opportunity to bid on this exceptionally clean, one owner ultra rare 1929 National Style 1 metal body soprano uke shown in the photos. This original prewar National is in excellent original condition with original hard shell case and original braided rope strap. This was purchased from the estate of the original owner , the initials of whom are engraved on the bridge cover. Not one that has been "up and down the street" , it's in overall excellent condition....no visible sign of any damage anywhere that I can see. A few of the cover plate screws are philips head and do not match the slotted head originals exactly but that is the only thing that I can see that has been changed on this wonderful little uke. (Note: the green hue is the reflection of the grass in the plated body of the uke.) I've uploaded some more photos...some are larger. The finish has never been touched with steel wool. There are some pick scratches above and below the strings in the playing area though they could be buffed out easily enough. ...it's really squeaky clean. Truthfully I'd hoped to be able to keep this little sweetheart but there's bills to pay so somethin's gotta give and it's usually Dear Ol' Dad that has to make the sacrifice. A great opportunity for the true collector. Much more fun than than dollars could ever be but that's just my opinion. Wasn't gonna relist but figured with the new ebay deal it would worth a shot. Please email me if you have any questions. Thanks.Payment due in 7 days of auctions end by money order , cashier's check or direct wire transfer. No paypal since the fees on this would be prohibitive. I will send the winner an invoice. ************* What you see is what you'll get. NO funny business here. You get the actual item shown in the many photos. The photos should tell the story but feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this item.... also have a tri cone square neck with some engraving (call it style 1 1/2..)which I'll post soon as I get some decent photos....so shiny that it's hard to do... *************************** High bidder agrees to prepay, including shipping by postal money order within 7 days of auction closing. Your item will be meticulously packaged and safely shipped right to your door. A word about payment...if you are going to be out of town when the auction closes and unable to arrange to have payment made within 7 days of auction closing, please refrain from bidding since we strive to complete our transaction in a timely fashion. Similarly, if you are unable , for any other reasons...real or imagined...to make payment within 7 days of auction closing, please refrain from bidding. This is for those folks who are ready to follow through and honor their bids promptly.
