I bought it from my high school and it is the same bass my mother played in high school! As far as I know it is wood! But I will make sure later! There are very little scratches but then again that’s okay because of its age! The bell of the instrument is tarnished little but doesn't hurt the performance of it. It is in perfect playing condition. The case has been damaged little in the bottom of the case the finish has been rubbed off and the wood is exposed. Also on the inside of the case the fabric is ripped. Other than that this is a great instrument to play! I have enjoyed using it! Place a Bid!
