Description
The Yamaha CP60M Is a 76 key electric Piano with an acoustic piano action, strings and many features found on earlier keyboards. It is the first electric piano to feature a midi interface as well as controls for tonal variation (i.e. a graphic EQ). The CP60M also has a tremolo system, external effect loop terminals and a midi split function. This piano is designed to be a portable acoustic piano for stage or home settings. The unit is self-contained and weighs 220lbs, around 300-320 lbs. when crated. This piano uses a piezoelectric pickup system since it lacks a soundboard. Much like an acoustic piano, this unit has a piano action, strings, hammers, pins and pinblocks, dampers and a harp. This unit is fully intact and internally looks as if it has seen little use, though it actually has seen a good amount of use. Buy-It-Now only $580 after $200 rebate!! I can guarantee you that you will get $200 off this item if you Buy-It-Now and then contact me before paying for the item. Rebate only applies to U.S. customers, and does NOT apply to international customers. Also, the rebate only works if you plan to pay through paypal. This rebate is not going to last for more than a week or so (it already decreased 10%), and is descreasing in percentage every few days, so get in while you can.Overall it is in good condition cosmetically, fair-to-good functionally. The cabinet has some minor dings and a few places where the plastic has cracked or has been chipped away.  When I plug this unit in, It fires right up all the knobs, buttons and sliders do their job fine, but there is currently a problem where the MIDI triggers cause a bleeping noise in the audio channel when you press down a key ever so slightly, and there is a digital-sounding noise floor (if that makes any sense) at a low volume that is there half of the time, even when no keys are being played, which is also likely caused by the MIDI circuit. This instrument needs a tuning. The pin blocks are in good condition with no splits or cracks, and the pins are tight. The action will definitely need a full regulation to get the keyboard even feeling throughout; my piano tech quoted $400 for the work, though yours might charge less for regulation. The keyboard itself is in great condition, with no chipped or cracked keys. There is one handle missing as shown in the pics. Once you get this piano regulated, tuned, and its MIDI/audio problem fixed, you will have an amazing sounding instrument that approximates the sound of the CP-70 but takes up 1/3 the floorspace. Again, this sounds similar to a CP-70, though not exactly like one. It definitely is a more portable version than the CP-70, since the keyboard folds down into the case and it rolls along in one piece. This unit was produced in even smaller quantities than the CP-70, CP-70B or CP-80. It is definitely a rare instrument. If you know how to regulate pianos or fix electronics, take advantage of this opportunity and save hundreds of dollars. The dimensions of this unit are 51 1/4" X 36 1/2" X 19 2/3". The buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. I can pack it in a plywood crate that fits it very well, for only $50. International buyers must pay with paypal only or wire transfer. For international buyers, payment for the item and crate must be paid within 24 hours of auctions end. Shipping charges and payment for all buyers will be between you and your shipping agent. Buyers within the U.S (excluding Alaska and Hawaii) can pay by paypal, postal money order, or check within 3 days of auctions end. Local pickup arrangements can be made as well.
