Living in NYC I have played every kit that is imaginable, but Yamaha and their expertise in making Birch drums cannot be surpassed. My friends think I am crazy, my wife is ready to sign the papers, but how can I justify having this set sitting around.It is like having a Porsche and never driving it.The bass drum ( no hole in the front for this puppy) has a deep punch with no slap back. This is due to the many air holes that release the air on impact.The toms sound so close to a the melodic line of a bass (tuned to fifths) it is a blast playing jungle beats and just jamming around the set.22 x 18 Bass, 10 inch Tom, 12 inch Tom, 14 inch tom and the bottom punch of a 16 inch. Snare is a 14 x 3.5 inch and all I can say that this small snare compliments the kit royally buy giving the hi end to a very punchy kit. (I love Yamaha snares!)All hanging toms with the flexibility of the tri hole, tri pod stands, that you can add cymbals to the top of the drum and bottom without using another stand. This hardware is Included! ( Tom Mounting Only)The color is drop your jaw gorgeous! (See the pics!)Shipping cost includes UPS ground, insured, and packed in the original cartons for a safe journey to your humble abode. The bass drum will not be packed in the original box. The hoops were wrapped and placed around the bass drum. I rather keep everything intact and pack it to the max. Snare drum box is not original but serves the same purpose.No this kit was never gigged and used solely in my drum studio. This one brings a tear to my eye but I rather see someone USE this kit.
