The piano is also a MIDI piano, that is, it has a silent system whereby you can prevent the strings from sounding and turn it into a digital piano that you can listen to through headphones. This piano is unlike any you'll be able to find today. The A1 is normally not sold in the US. It is just like Yamaha's C series pianos in terms of quality, design and features, but in a smaller package. The only other 4'11 piano available from Yamaha in the US now is the much lower quality G series. This piano is perfect for apartment living because of its small size but excellent sound, and because of the silent system that you can activate if you want to play late and night without disturbing neighbors. As for me, I personally love the piano and am very sad, indeed, almost terrified to sell it since I know I won't find another like it, but I am unfortunately moving to New York and into an apartment that is much too small for a piano (almost for any furniture, really).
