It sold for more than the Yamaha 5'3" C1 and therefore was not a big hit even though it shared all the same quality C series parts and manufacture quality control. The piano was recently discontinued and was re designed as the GA1. The GA1 is a totally different piano and is now made in China. If you look at the interior of this piano model A1L you will notice it is almost identical to the C1.  The round sound holes, duplex scale, hexagon bolts, soft close keyboard cover and full function sostenuto pedal are all in common with C series and S series Grands. I am stressing this in order that you understand that you can't compare this instrument to the now current model GA1 which sells for more less half the price this A1LS sold for when new.  This piano also features the very popular "Silent Series" which enables the pianist to practice in silence.
