Description
Serial #115120. This was kept in a piano teacher's basement for almost all of its life. Its in good condition. Cosmetically it has some checking on the keys and is definitely showing some signs of age but its solid and looks nice. Includes original legs and sustain pedal. Both original speakers are in tact and working but do break up when its turned all the way up. Sounds less like a speaker problem than maybe just a dirty connection. This problem is remedied by notching the volume back a bit. Only problematic key is the very lowest B (lowest key on the board). It breaks up as if the reed is touching one of the sides of the groove it sits between. I just never got around to checkin these problems out but they could be easy fixes. As it stands now...i tuned a few months ago (a few keys were out) and it sounds nice. I've kept it in the studio and used it on a bunch of recordings over the past few months. Output jack sounds great. Tuning is good too. Probably could be fine tuned but it is very recordable and gigable in its present condition. This is not a "perfect" Wurly but it is in good condition and with a weekends worth of tinkering from someone who knows the ins and outs of these things it could be in very nice shape. Its missing the tremelo knob and has an unmatched replacement knob there now. The tremelo sounds great. I've rented and owned several Wurlys and the trem can be super lame or super great. This one has great tremelo. Feel free to ask any questions. I WILL NOT SHIP THIS but will drive up to an hour from the Washington, DC area to deliver.
