Knabe, Baltimore MD, USA, in 1899Model  :  Empire Style Parlor Grand, 6'4"Serial Number :  465XXRepairs Done : New strings, pins, hammers and shanks.  A previous owner had plate reguilded.  There is an older repair of one of the seams on the top of the lid, which wooden support bracing added underneath the lid.Condition :   Used.  Beautiful condition.  The patina on the original finish is stunning and rich.  There is some crackling of the satin finish.  Original ivory keys are in great condition with a few only showing hairline cracks - typical for the age of this piano.  Dark Mahogany is very striking.  All brass has been polished to like new condition.  This piano - the brand of choice for the Metropolitan Opera for many years, is ready to play and a joy to listen to.  Rich strong bass end.
