Description
Up for sale is an older horn, serial number 6629, that I believe was made by William Frank (who worked for Holton, set up his own shop in 1910, and made horns for a number of years.) This horn is a medium-large bore trumpet that is very nicely put together. The silver plating is mostly there, except for the last section of leadpipe and the tuning slide, which have been polished down to the brass underneath by an overzealous polisher. The bell is inscribed "Interlochen", and there are no other identifying marks on the horn. The valves operate pretty smoothly and the horn plays ok using Hetman classic piston oil, but as with most older horns it could benefit from a piston refit (compression is just ok). This horn is an interesting one, and I wish I knew more about it. I am selling it reasonably for that reason. A new gig bag is included, as I dont have a case for this horn. Thanks for looking.
