Description How can a flute have 3 different feet, and also have a revolutionary design?  The new Briolette flute of Taiwan is such a rare bird.  It is first of all a complete Grenadilla wood flute, with a modern design. The Briolette Concert C flute is totally hand made in Taiwan by their flute artisans. Grenadilla is the ideal choice for wood in that it has an ideal carrying power, as well as the highest security against cracking.  The sound is a rich, warm, natural sound…and all the carrying power of a Sterling Silver flute!  The full spectrum of beautiful tonal colors can now be projected through the largest concert halls. The B foot is known for its customary flexibility and sound. The C foot is usually used by professionals for a more delicate sound and has less physical weight.  Now we have the hybrid Bb foot!  It has even more power than a B foot, and that bottom Bb is a thing of wonder. It weighs only slightly more than a B foot.  In case you are wondering, the low Bb is fingered by just sliding the traditional Gizmo key on the foot, and it lowers the bottom Bb key (as well as the C and B) by using the right hand pinky.All of this would not be possible on the Briolette flute if it were not for the total hand work on the headjoint and the revolutionary tonehole design.  The tone holes are precision-crafted of inset Grenadilla which allows wider sized holes like those of Silver flutes. This is another factor contributing to the flute’s accurate intonation and tonal clarity.  The pitch is A = 442, and has the modern flute scale. The embouchure plate and headjoint are sculpted out of a single piece of aged African Grenadilla for a genuine, open resonance. The surface of the embouchure is highly comfortable and provides confident control.  Silver tenons fit the headjoint into the body, and foot into the body - just as with a Silver flute. This adds a center to the sound as well as reduces weight. This Briolette flute is a creation of beauty.  The body is complete Grenadilla wood, with Silver French Pointed Arm keys.  The mechanism is offset G, Open holes (with plugs supplied), and has a split-E mechanism.  It is fitted in a Leather French style case with a zippered fleece lined case cover.  The case fits the body, headjoint and all three of the headjoints!
