Description You are bidding on a circa mid 30's Vintage Gibson Acoustic Archtop. Carved spruce top with F holes and either mahogony or birch back. Rosewood fingerboard with stenciled "Gibson" logo and what seems to be the orginal tuners with ivoroid buttons. All of the hardware seems to be orginal with the exception of the tailpiece...I honestly do not know.It has had water damage but has been professionally repaired in Brooklyn NY and now plays like a dream. Loud and even tone from all strings...cosmetic dings and such but structurally fine. The finish has been worn off of the top bout (due to the water damage) and could be fixed I guess if you wanted to...but I think it gives it more charm. If you are looking for a perfect old guitar-this ain't it...if you want a fabulous playing and sounding guitar that has been through it's share, here it is. Lower bout measures 14 1/2" so it is a small archtop... Place a Bid!
