Description  Here is a beautiful, vintage Slingerland USA-Niles, IL 5" x 14" snare drum in RARE "Lavender Satin Flame Pearl" wrap from I believe around the late 60's early 70's.  The snare is in original condition except for the heads and has the early Black/Gold Niles, Il badge..  This is an 8 lug snare drum that has seen little use and I would say it is in excellent condition for it's age.  I believe the shell is a 3 ply maple with maple reinforcement hoops and the interior is the Slingerland tan. Bearing edges are factory perfect.  All the chrome is in beautiful shiny condition showing some minor pitting but still looks great. The rims are stick saver COB (chrome over brass) and are in beautiful condition.  The RARE wrap shows some surface scratches but not bad at all....very typical for this type of wrap. The seam is nice & tight, there is no fade (see pix) & the color is very vibrant! There are no missing parts, everything is original and in nice smooth working condition. The heads are both Remo and are in good playable condition.  It has been well taken care of and is a beautiful ......GREAT warm,woody sounding vintage Slingerland drum.  Great drum to add to your collection and great a playable drum!  e-mail with questions-International bidders are welcome-e-mail for shipping quote!
