I’ve been told it’s from the 1930’s.  The top head has a Radio King calf head ink stamp, but looks/feels like plastic to me. Much of the plating on the throw off arm is gone.  Everything works as it should.  It's a very nice, complete, great looking and sounding tube lug vintage drum.   The Seller: I’m putting this drum on the block for a computer-less friend of mine.  He’s been a player and knowledgeable collector for almost 50 years and is currently facing some daunting health issues.   Me (the lister): I’m a player/collector/restorer/drum-builder with over 35 years of experience. I don’t have any experience with Slingerland so please ask questions if there’s something I didn’t cover.   The Story: This drum was bought about 10 years ago from a California vintage dealer.  It was never gigged and rarely played.  It’s mostly been stored and it’s time for a new owner.   Payment: Please hold off on payment until exact shipping charges are sent to you.   Shipping: In past auctions,  after explaining my shipping policy in great detail,  I still had many questions about shipping (the answers to which were always covered in my lengthy description).  So here’s the short version of what you need to know about the shipping & shipping charges:   (1)    The shipping calculation is an ebay required estimate only – Please disregard it…could be more…could be less. Exact shipping costs will be determined after the auction; based solely on how/where you want it shipped. (2)    I will ship anywhere (3)    I don’t want to make any profit, or lose money on the packing/shipping/insurance – I will not mark it up.   Details of the shipping: Please don’t ask what the shipping will be before it closes.  I’m not going to guess, or hunt down exact numbers for every option/country. When people ask “how much to ship to X?”...what they’re really asking is “how much over cost are you going to gouge me for?”  Not me. After you’ve won it, the price will be exactly what it costs me and not a penny more. I don’t think shipping should be a revenue stream for the seller -- this eBay trend  really puts me off.  If you want it heavily insured,  professionally crated and over-nighted to Japan…shipping will be exorbitant.  Very nicely packed, Double boxed,  UPS,  Cont US, fully insured, probably less than $40.  It’ll cost you what it costs me.
