The original throw-off and butt are present and in good working order and are cosmetically very good. The rims and tension rods/claws all appear to be original and are in very good condition with exception a crack in the snare side rim (pictured). The batter head is an original calf skin head that is still in good condition. The badge is an all brass badge from 1953 - 1956. The shell is a  3 ply mahogany-poplar-mahogany shell with the 1" solid maple reinforcing rings made from 1956-1962. So by process of deduction I guess this would have to make this a 1956 drum. Please ask questions if you have them.
