Description
Hello all you Steel Guitar Players and collectors! I would like to start by addressing any potential bidders. Please make sure you are familiar with playing and working on vintage Sho-Bud Guitars. This guitar has all its parts intact, but since I don't play Pedal Steel, I have no way of knowing how everything is supposed to work. I'm sure it can use an full adjustment, tune up, and definately a new double set of strings. There are three missing right now. ***I'm selling this guitar "AS IS"*** I purchased it wanting to learn how to play, but I have decided I should learn on a newer guitar before attempting to tackle this one. This guitar seems to have been well loved and played. It looks to be over 30 years-old. For its age it's in good shape! It would make a great project to restore it to its original condition. I hear these are very difficult to find these days so don't miss out on this one!!! It's a Sho-Bud pedal steel guitar. A rare vintage double neck D10. It has 8 foot pedals, 4 knee levers, and each neck has 10 strings. As most Vintage instruments, the finish on the guitar's woods shows some finish cracking. There is one 1" wood crack behind the E9th pick-up in the neck's wood main support piece, but it does not appear to be very deep. There are also multiple spots between the guitar's necks where the slide appeared to has caused some wear on the guitar's finish along with some small dings and small dents. Nothing I would feel is out of the ordinary for a Vintage instrument. I believe it needs to be listed as accurately as possible for the potential buyer. Please see all the pictures before bidding! If you would like any additional pictures, send me your email address and I will send some more to you. The guitar is quite heavy and the legs come off for easy storage. I will try and answer any non technical questions as best as I can, but please remember I'm not a Pedal Steel Guitar Player yet, so I may not be able to be much help! If the guitar is somehow damaged during shipment, I will file a damage claim and provide a full refund. Please bid with complete confidence as my eBay reputation with my buyers and sellers is 100% satisfaction! Thank you for checking out my auction. GOOD LUCK!!! Again, I ask that only those who are familiar with playing and working with these older steel guitars bid during this auction as there are "NO RETURNS" The Sho-Bud Pedal Steel Guitar will be shipped fully insured for the purchase price to the 48 USA States Only! ~ No Overseas Shipping!!! I do reserve the right to end this auction at any time due to securing a local purchase! Local pick up can be done to avoid the shipping charges I wanted to let everyone know that other Sho-Bud players and collectors have told me this Sho-Bud Pedal Steel Guitar appears to be a ***mid to late 1960's Shobud Permanent*** It possibly has the old style tuning, with some modernization underneath the guitar. The knee levers appear to have been updated, as the original knee levers would have been a curved/tear-drop shape. I have no way of knowing if this information is correct. I make no promise that these details apply to this guitar, I'm just updating the listing for reference only. As I've mentioned prior "Please Only Bid On This Guitar ~ If You Have Knowledge & Experience Playing Or Working On These Type Of Pedal Steel Guitars" Again it is being "Sold AS IS. ~ Meaning No Returns!" I hope this information helps and Good Luck!!!
