During the late 1920s Selmer replaced their metal bands around the shank of their hard rubber mouthpieces with a beautifully ornamented scroll shank. The model you are presently viewing has the beautiful ornamented shank and horse shoe chamber. This piece is referred to as the Selmer Soiloist Short Shank Model. These models were produced by the Selmer Company during the 1950s. The tip and rails of the piece you are presently viewing are in excellent condition and  in original form. The piece has the Soloist inscription written in angular fashion across the table of the mouthpiece and the letter D engraved on the right side of the table bside the Soloist insignia. These pieces were made from very good hard rubber which is a testimony to the artistry and craftmanship of the Selmer Company. Place a Bid!
