This instrument is absolutely the most desired piccolo trumpet on the market. The P5-4 was introduced in 1971 and has held its ground as the premium piccolo for several decades now. This P5-4 that you are bidding on was made within the first 10 years of production of this model. The horn is in excellent shape. It does show some minor signs of wear such as plating spots, and some minor pitting, however has never sustained any damage and shows no signs of being repaired in the past. This instrument was used and maintained by a professional musician. The valves are in superb shape, and are very tight. This horn was professionally cleaned here at B.A.C. Horn Doctor Inc. using a two part process. We use an ultrasonic cleaner and submerge the instrument into chemicals to clean out lime scale and condition the brass. We also performed a precision valve alignment using the most premium materials and meticulously aligning each up and down stroke on the piston.
