It appears from the 70s-era purple lining that there was little use of this case, for either storage or transport--there are no string or bridge indentations on the inside lid pads. Black tolex is in great shape--there is one torn stitch on the bottom treble bout of the lid. Each of the 5 latches work great, as well as the handle and hinges. The metal pieces are a little oxidized from age. There is almost no wear to the case bumpers and the silver silk-screened Gibson logo. Purple lining is super clean, and the case key is still in a sealed cellophane envelope. I bought several "Les Paul" cases a while ago, and this one just happened to be part of the bunch.
