Henry Charles Marx Born 1875 and died 1947 started the company and manufactured many different types of Musical instruments. Mostly combination instruments like a ukulele crossed with a violin and called a Ukelin. The company started in 1926 and operated till 1972. These instruments were sold Door to Door and by Mail Order thru Sears and other companies. This Particular instrument has a Triangular Sound Box and is 10 inches wide and is 2 3/4 Inches thick and  29 Inches from base to top of neck. This is an all Wood Single string Instrument with a Metal slide on the string. How it was played, I dont know and i do not know how old it is. inside the sound box is a sticker that says ( The Marxolin, Patent Allowed, Manufactured by Marxochime Colony, New Troy Michigan ) There is a paper graduated number scale on the neck starting with No.1 and it goes to No.6 but it looks like the rest of the numbers are missing.
