As you can see from the pictures one of the heads is ripped. This type of drum from the 30's were made of mahogany with maple hoops. The drum does have some scratches and scuffs but for its age looks very nice. The snares are original. The snare wires from this era were wrapped around a thread of silk. This drum measures 15-1/2X13. I got this drum from a church that does not allow name brands on items they buy, at least they didn't in the 30's. One of the drums I aquired,that is exactly like this one, does have Ludwig on the inside. This one does not.The heads are held on by 10 tension rods. If you have any questions please e-mail me.
