Description Vintage K Zildjian Istanbul 18" Crash/Ride Up for auction is a beautiful and extremely rare K Zildjian 18" Crash Cymbal. This rare find was one of the few series of Zildjian Cymbals ever manufactured in Turkey. It is believed to be from the late 1940s to early 1950s, although exact date is not known. This cymbal is in very good condition, with only minor keyhole and a few very small cracks in the bell, which will not affect playability or value. The size and weight of this cymbal make it useful as a crash or a sloshy ride. The warm, dark sound is great for jazz. Good stick definition, yet plenty of overtones when used as a ride.
