Vintage Gibson TB-11 4 String Banjo 1930s Start Price USD 9.99 Current Price USD 2,213.88 Time Left - Bid Count 19 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, October 06, 2008 End Time Monday, October 13, 2008 Location Montgomery, Pennsylvania See more about 'Vintage Gibson TB-11 4 String Banjo 1930s' Description Early 1930's Gibson Banjo The tenor banjo comes with the strap, original case with key, extra strings and more (see pictures below.)  This banjo is in excellent vintage, original condition except for the banjo head is a replacement and there is some mild warping on the back of the resonator (see pics.)  It appears to be in tune and has a wonderful sound quality.  The finish is in near perfect condition with no apparent cracks or scratches.  There is a bit of wear on the neck where it is held (see pics.) This Gibson is a pearloid with red and black silkscreened design on the back of the resonator as well as the fingerboard and peghead.  There is a colored finish on the rims, the sides of the resonator and the back of the neck.  This banjo is harder to find as it is not blue which was the most common color for these banjos...The TB-11 banjos were commonly referred to as the blue banjo because most were produced with a blue finish color.  This particular banjo does not have the blue.  It has a brown outer ring and red flower design.
