Description
This Flute is inscribed Paul Beuscher,  27 Bd Becumarchais, Paris......... There is also the inscription LL2 under one of the keys which I believe could signify Louis Lot, Workshop.  I would like to make it clear that I do not know if this is a Louis Lot Flute or not. Aside from the inscription LL2 there are other attributes and physical features that indicate to me that it is possibly a Louis Lot.  Please judge that possibility for yourself.  I am no expert. The Paul Beuscher Company is still in business at the very same address in Paris as he was at the time this flute was made in 1915. The company name and address is inscribed on the flute.  Paul Beuscher commissioned flutes to be made for him by various workshops in Paris to include, Bonneville, Louis Lot, and Rive among others.  This is as fine of a flute and there is some chance that it was made by the Louis Lot workshop It has a Beautiful Sound...... Hauntingly Beautiful Having said this, I would like to note that the pads may or may not need attention I am no expert with flutes..... it plays beautifully as it is and the Pads on it appear to me to be original, therefore I have not changed them, as I would rather leave the flute in original condition, if indeed these are the original Pads, as they appear so to me. Condition of the Flute..... I would describe this flute as a 9+ out of 10  most people would give it a 9.5 out of 10 given it is an antique nearing 100 years old  But, conservatively, I give it a 9 out of 10 The workmanship is Perfection.  It appears to me and plays to me to be in excellent mechanical condition  I am no expert on mechanics and a novice flute player.... I cannot imagine a finer sound coming out of a flute..... Instantly Captivating  I am a novice, and I can make it sound as good as you have ever heard from a flute  Enough said with that.... right near the mouth piece is a very slight ding.... very small   I tried to photograph it... it may or may not come out over the net There are a few abrasive types of slight scuffing that I likewise have tried to photograph. There is very modest wear on the flute... Ever so modest, especially given it's age.  9 out of 10 would be a conservative evaluation of the flute's condition, and that is including negatives that I have named. I have done my best to describe the flute precisely and completely  Not being an accomplished flutist, I may be missing some notation that is important to a flutist or Collector Please feel free to call me at.... 661.264.0004 and ask any questions you may have. I accept personal checks, cashiers checks or money orders  If you need references to my credibility.... please call and ask for them  I am a home owner in the same home for 20 years I have plenty of business references you can call in the Motion Picture Industry, in which I have worked for 30 years I am certain they will affirm to you that I am solid, responsible, and trustworthy The Flute comes with it's original case, which is in very good condition for it's age. The hinges work and I think the lock would work too, but there is No Key. It looks like one could easily be made.... and it appears as if it would work The material inside the case, looks old but is in very good condition It is slightly worn along the hinge area where it opens and closes, not bad at all, For a case this age, lined in material, it looks great..... This flute has been described to the best of my ability Recently I received mail stating that the flute was made in 1927 or there abouts. I have heard from many many "experts" regarding this flute and all have different opinions. I am not expert, but I am a Musician.  This Flute Sounds Phenominal. Mechanically it is in Excellent Condition.  It may or may not need pads. The pads appear original.  They are slightly ragged, but sound Great. This flute is being sold AS IS No Refunds and No Returns   Thanks, James
