This saxophone dates back to 1921. The patent date in this saxophone says: Dec. 8, 1914. There is  "C" righ below the patent date. And right below the Serial # is an "L". Low pitch? I had originally purchased this to refurbish it.  However, having a 2 year old makes that virtually impossible.  When I bought this, it was completely black.  I started polishing it, but did not get too far.   It really needs to be professionally cleaned and serviced. It has a beautiful brushed silver color on the outside and a gold washed bell on the inside. It is missing one key and also the neck.  There are also a few dents.  This saxophone will need to be repadded. The case included in this auction is a King Tenor Saxophone case by the H.N White Company. It is in very rough condition. It has lots of edge wear and will need new latches. Overall, the case is in solid condition. This vintage saxophone has the potential to be gorgeous with a little patience and TLC!
