Now, for the item you were looking at: This is a vintage banjo.  We were told it is a Vega but cannot find any markings on it.  Beautiful, solid wood.  Neck is straight.  Everything in great condition.  The wood has a beautiful grain and has no nicks.  Has small .5" scratch near base of neck.  Has open back. Banjo measures 11" across and is 33" long from top of neck to end of banjo. Belonged to my grandfather if that gives any indication of age. The hard leather case has a purple felt lining which needs some repair. Case has four metal feet on the bottom. It is in good shape but is just coming away from case in one area and needs to be reglued.  Case may not have been the original one that went to this banjo as it is a little bit roomy.
