Description
This Plexi Half Stack is A Vintage Marshall 1967 Super Bass 100W Serial # 100XX.It was owned by a Family member and was put away over 20 Years ago.The Head and the Cabinet were recovered in original Marshall Tolex, because there was White spray Painted letters from the Band over the Head and cabinet. It was put away and sat in a Closet for over 20 years.Back then it was not a big deal to recover an amp. BIG DEAL TODAY! I have no idea who the artist or Band was.The Head has had some caps Changed and has been serviced, I believe all the other electronics to be original. And It is...... The Top of the Food Chain in Sound. NONE BETTER.Some artists who have played through this Stack cant stop commenting on the sound, most have been awestruck! The Head is Vintage Plexi with original Panels front and rear, original knobs, original Logo, and I believe original Top Handle. The panels are not cracked or chipped but the back Panel has a slight warp in the Middle of it, ( it is Pulled out a little) The condition is Better than excellent! The Box has a Flat wood Panel in the front and a small vent on Top. The Gold Mesh is all there and in Super conditionThe Gold piping and the Gold cabinet string is all original to this amplifier. Most Everything was reused. At least thats one good Thing! It Has 4 Repro Grey feet from Metro Amp. There is a plastic ID tag on the back of the head that has been put back on with the original nails. Not being an electronics expert, I have been told Both tranformers are original and The inspection Paper is present. The tubes are replacements.I am very honest and have no way to tell myself but I believe the techs. The tranformer has numbers on Top I believe they are 1203-80. I do know that the speakers are The original Celestions from Mid 1968 The picture will show you ( GA) .All 4 cones are original and have never been touched, They have a Long number on them ending in 0014.All Four are identical. It looks as if all four speakers had a little sticker over the 20W on the back because the little square ( tiny ) residue is there. The Metal Handles, the screws, The White Grille piping, The grille, The wheels and their holders, are all original. Every screw holding the back Panel On is original as are the washers. The original Covers Top and bottom are included and are in excellent+ condition. They have White Piping with Big Gold Marshall at the bottom corners front and back. There are no extra holes in the Plexi panels front or rear, all in all this is a wonderful example that can be played and admired. I believe if it hadnt been retolexed, I would be listing it in the 12K to 15 K range. This is the only reason it is being listed at this price, The Retolex. The Tolex was done so well that it is very hard to tell it is not original tolex. There is not a mark anywhere on the cabinet or the head box. Shiiping will be at the actual price given by the UPS store by me. Please disregard the E Bay shipping calculator. It will be professionally packed and insured. I am an Honest person, Please see my feedback, and will treat you as I would want to be treated. If you want to tell me about what A shame it was to retolex this historic piece.....PLEASE DONT>>> I would never have done it originally.. Regards Mike
