Description Ok. So here we go. I was approached by a private collector to list a few of his vintage pieces for him. What an honor. I have never played a guitar like this, as it has probably the best neck and acoustic resonance I've ever heard. Couldn't believe it. Plugged in it's a monster too. This is a: 1954 Gibson ES-5 Hollowbody Electric Guitar. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Serial number: A17902. Does not have it's original hardshell however. Though it is a Gibson case. It's a mid-90's Gibson hardshell.     I'll give my best description. Also, notice the link at the bottom of the description. Very important. Remember, it will be quite expensive as shipping with UPS for a $8,000 guitar will not be simple.   The guitar feels amazing, and obvious use has put on it. It looks like the original tailpiece has been modified. But it's just an amazing piece. And it doesn't look like it was ever abused. The headstock has some hits on it, where the binding took a hit over the years. The frets are in great shape. And I don't think it's a refret either. The body is quite nice. The back has more marks than the top. But no major damage has been done to this guitar. It's still a worthy commodity for a collector and a great player for the studio or even live use.
