Description
Here is an older instrument.  I do not play this instrument, but I will try to describe it the best I can.  Could be a euphonium, baritone, mellophone, etc.  On the horn it is engraved:  MERCEDES VINCENT BACH U.S.A.  The horn has a diameter of approx. 10".  With the mouthpiece on, it measures about 21 1/4" long.  On the second valve, it has the SERIAL No. 13868, placing it, I'm pretty sure, from the early 1950's.  It has ~3~ valves, they all go up/down easily.  The little levers with the pads are still intact.  All the braces are intact.  I'm not quite sure which slides are supposed to slide in/out...but they all appear to be stuck (I don't want to pull to hard and damage it).  It has a few dings--no major dents though.  I'd say the worst is the pipe right behind the valve tops...it has a slight 'twist' in it.  There is a mouthpiece on it, it says:  VINCENT BACH 6 1/2 AL.  It's still neatly packed in the original, hard, Bach carry case.  Inside of the case is lined with a black, velour-type material (no musty smell).  The center latch works fine...the other 2 latches on either side do not latch (missing the little center part that goes in).  Case is still solid.  Would make a neat instrument for a collection....always good to still play!  GREAT SAVINGS!!!  Hope it 'blows' your way!  Buyer to pay shipping-accept cashiers check, money order, personal check (US banks only), Visa/Mastercard/Discover.  No paypal.  WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE. Check out my other items! Be sure to add me to your favorites list! Sometimes I can't get to all questions before the auction ends, the most common question is shipping: If over 4 lbs. it goes Fed Ex insured-I do not add a handling charge. Under 4 lbs. goes USPS. Out of the U.S.-all items go USPS priority or express, whichever you prefer. Most items listed are vintage, described to the best of my knowledge. All items sold AS-IS. Please note: The shipping cost stated is only an estimate. The shipping calculator has been way off lately-usually higher. I will not know the exact charge till the auction ends and I know where it is going. I will then send an invoice.
