The serial number is 180625 which I believe dates it to the 1940's. It was found in its original hard case. It has been completely taken apart, ultrasonically cleaned, slides pulled and greased, valves oiled, new felts and corks installed, and new water valve springs installed. The valves are in very nice condition as the pictures should show. The horn does have some dents and dings. The worst are on the bell crook and the largest tuning slide. I see where the top portion of this slide was re-soldered. The finger hook is missing. I have play tested the instrument with the Bach mouthpiece which is included with the horn and it plays nicely. The engraving is sharp and clear. All of the lacquer has been removed and it is now in RAW BRASS. What you see is what you get.
