Description
1962 HAMMOND B-3 ORGAN!COMPLETE WITH LESLIE MODEL 122 ROTARY SPEAKER CABINET, TONE CABINET, BASS PEDALS, BENCH AND COVERS!ITEM: For your consideration is this vintage 1962 Hammond B-3 Organ complete with Leslie 122, Tone Cabinet, Bass pedals, Bench and Covers. It is the original complete set in original condition and in fantastic working condition purchased together by a church back in the 60's. The complete set listed for sale was purchased from a church in Arizona about a year ago. We have since had it here in our store and are now offering the complete set to you. We have had numerous B-3 Hammonds and Leslie cabinets. This is by far the cleanest B-3 and Leslie cabinet we have ever had.Overall the B-3 is stunning. The complete set sounds amazing. The action on the keyboards is very nice. None of the keys stick, are raised, or are crooked. It plays and performs perfectly. Because it is an early 60's B-3 model the keys are slightly rounded making it easy to slide up and down the keyboards (a subtle but important feature for players). The cabinetry and wood is in great shape. There are some typical scratches as seen in the photos on the Leslie and Tone cabinets but overall they are very clean. The reverb unit on the tone cabinet has been disassembled and needs to be reinstalled. It is not engaged in its current state but it is all there and unmolested, it just needs to be connected and screwed back into the cabinet. The cables included with the B-3 are a power cable and a Leslie cable. The Leslie cable is not the correct cable for the 122. It is a 5-pin cable and the Leslie needs a 6-pin cable. Thus the Hammond cannot control the speed of the Leslie until a 6-pin cable is used. We sold the appropriate cable to a customer who desperately needed it. Regardless, the 5-pin cable is included in this auction as we have no use for it BUT you will need to acquire a 6-pin cable to take advantage of the speed control on the B-3. Apart from that non-issue both cabinets sound extraordinary. The full range of sound is unbelievable. In addition, the B-3 comes with the matching bass pedals. The bass pedals work perfect and sound unreal. The Hammond B-3 itself is in amazing cosmetic condition. It is near mint with virtually no wear to be found. The wood is vibrant and beautiful. All of the pieces with the bench excluded come with their own custom made covers. Yes even the bass pedals come with a cover! The Hammond model B-3 Features: 2 61-Key Manual Keyboards 25 Pedals Detachable Split Vibrato Vibrato Chorus Touch Percussion Tone Wheel Generator 4 Sets of Drawbars 18 Changeable Presets Locking Top Our Hammond B-3 is great working and sounds wonderful. You just cannot duplicate or replicate this sound. The photos say more than we ever could. Shipping on this set will be somewhat tricky but we can find a way to ship it to you. Please feel free to call or email us with questions but do try and investigate some of the logistics yourself before you contact us as we do get a high volume of calls and emails. Please review all of our photos as many of your questions will be answered upon inspection. For more information and an extensive history on the Hammond Organ and the Leslie speaker cabinet please visit this website:http://theatreorgans.com/grounds/docs/history.html SHIPPING:Please note!  Local pickup is preferred but we can ship the organ and cabinets.  We will determine the safest and least expensive way to ship it upon completion of the auction.  This will probably be via Greyhound Bus or some moving/freight company. Exact shipping prices will be determined at the end of the auction.International buyers should contact BAX Global or some other shipping company. Don't ask us, just call or go online to determine how much it will be to deliver it to you.Vintage Gear Hollywood Agreement with Bidders  Please read carefully before bidding. We own a very successful retail music store in L.A. called Vintage Gear Hollywood. We have been buying and selling high quality used and vintage guitars, amps, pedals, keyboards and drums for more than 30 years, in doing so we have acquired great expertise and experience. We are recognized internationally as known experts in our field. We offer some items for sale on eBay for our customers who are unable to come in and buy from us in person.  Shipping Policy We pack and ship hundreds of musical instruments every year. We purchase new shipping materials with the average cost of materials being $20 per instrument, this includes a new box, bubble wrap, peanuts and tape. To insure the safe arrival of your purchase, a box must be considerably larger than the instrument, this larger box is more expensive than a box the same size as the instrument but we feel it’s worth the added protection it offers. This larger box cost more to ship because shippers charge extra to the same address for a larger package, this is what they call dimensional weight. Larger packages also require more packing materials. Guitars are expensive and so is the insurance to cover them when shipped, this insurance is sometimes purchased from the shipper, sometimes covered by our store policy, sometimes a combination of both. Items are always insured. We charge a flat rate charge for domestic and international shipping because it’s easier and the charge can be published in the auction allowing the buyer to know exactly what the is total before bidding. We recommend the buyer factor in the shipping charges to their bid as opposed to seeking a cheaper alternative to our published charge. If you cannot do this we prefer that you don’t bid on our item. By bidding on our item you have in fact accepted our flat rate charge as well as all of the stated terms of our auction. Please allow at least five business days from the time payment is secured to process and ship your order. We make no promises or guarantee as to when your item will be shipped, we attend to shipping when our busy schedule allows. Sometimes we are able to ship immediately. *PLEASE NOTE*Australian buyers must now pay much higher USPS rate because of recent change in USPS policy, it will cost between three and four times the published rate. Please contact us with any questions. Refund Policy All sales are final, no refunds or exchanges. We feel that the buyer should be aware of their part in the transaction and that they have the responsibility to assume some of the liability of buying a musical instrument from us in an on line auction forum. We have always made an attempt to write a very thorough and accurate description of an instrument and to portray it with photos to the best of our expert ability. We are only interested in a successful auction experience for both the seller and buyer, we hope for the best possible outcome, we want you to be happy with your purchase. Please bid with confidence, we have supplied many on line customers with many beautiful instruments, please help us continue to do so.  Vintage Gear Terms What we expect in return is positive feedback only and no less than a five star rating in each category if you choose to participate in the star rating system. These ratings are the appropriate and fair evaluation for us. We have stated our terms, policies and practices up front. In return we promise to successfully complete the transaction to the best of our ability. These are the terms we ask of those who wish to purchase instruments from us. Anything other than those ratings will force us to reconsider the buyer seller relationship and we will block buyers from bidding. These instruments are getting harder to find and there is very little expertise these days. We are only interested in dealing with  buyers that appreciate the opportunity to buy from an experienced knowledgeable and honest seller. We prefer you not bid if these terms are not acceptable, but if they you are, you are welcome and we look forward to a mutually beneficial, long and lasting relationship.  John NelsonVintage Gear Hollywood
