Description
1958 was the first year of JazzMaster .  Fender started taking orders in august and didn't start production till late that year,  making this guitar with it's 11 / 58 birth date  ONE OF THE FIRST JazzMasters EVER MADE.  This is absolutely the best sounding, smoothest chording Vintage Fender I've ever played . The pickups on this guitar have a pedal steel quality and depth that is unusual, even for an  instrument that is revered for the width and breadth of its tone. And the finish on the "C" contoured, Slab-board, Brazilian Rosewood, Tiger Striped, Clay Dot, Rock Maple Neck, is worn smooth so your hand slides effortlessly as if you had been playing it yourself for The last 50 Years . A close inspection of the rosewood reveals an intricate, delicate figuring below the twelfth fret that is quite beautiful. The neck does show moderate fret wear as you would expect from an Absolutely Original and Unmolested  guitar, as well as the gratuitous cigarette burn on the headstock, and light Tiger Striping along the back of the neck . There are scuffs and nicks and rash, but the nitro-cellulose finish is amazing and still shiny. There are no issues with the electronics, the tuners stay in tune, the pots are smooth and quite, the tremelo works as it should, and the pickups sound like Leo wound them himself. The Case is the original Tweed case and is in good original condition, while the case is in working order, the handle stitching is mostly gone, and the right-side latch spring is missing or not operating...it locks and will open but will not "spring" open when button is pressed. There are scuffs here and there and it shows some minor discoloration.  All in all it does it's job just fine.  This guitar is a piece of musical  history and an outstanding investment and will packaged and insured and shipped accordingly.HERE IS THE LINK TO PHOTOS!!! (see adguitar1.jpg through adguitar15.jpg)Now for the fine print stuff Shipping costs to be determined after the auction ends...I will only charge the actual  costs.  buyer is to pay all shipping and insurance,  Also, I have an empty Anvil guitar road case available for purchase, which the fender case should fit into nicely should the buyer want it.  NO PAYPAL, cash, money order, certified check please. This guitar is up for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any-time.  No zero feedback bidders unless contacted and approved by me first . I would welcome local pickup and will deliver up to 150 mile radius for .30 per mile.  WILL HAVE TO APPROVE ANY OVERSEAS BID REMEMBER TO CLICK HERE FOR THE LINK TO PHOTOS!!!
