The label reads: Eugen Meinel, Markneukirchen, Germany, 1926, Handmade copy of Antonio Stradivarious and penciled below the label is the number 700. Stamped in the middle of the back is Eugen Meinel, Markneukirchen. It has a lovely oil varnish, a beautiful scroll showing masterful workmanship, a maple, two piece high flamed with descending curl, back, and a spruce, narrow grain in the middle to wide grain, top. The violin is fully lined and blocked with a small repaired wing crack (see pic). The measurements are: back 14 inches, upper bout 6 5/8 inches, lower bout 8 1/8 inches.
