Offered here is an antique large format Abolitionist collectible music sheet: "The Promised Land Tomorrow" Dedicated to Theodore Tilton and Frederick Douglass, poetry by Gerald Massey, music by James G. Clark, Published by S. Brainard's Sons, Cleveland, 1869.  This is an excellent sheet with some darkening and very minor rounding at the corners - the back cover has a flattened bend atthe top center edge - covers are separated!   This is a rare sheet which was actually published a few years after the Civil War during the Reconsturction period - dedicated to Douglass and well known journalist Tilton, who supported social causes such as abolition and women's suffrage!!!   Many of the items I will be listing over the next couple of weeks came from a 6 generation family estate.  I will be offering rare sheet music, children's books, primers and readers, religious books, and many other ephemera that range in age from about 1809 through World War II or so.  Please be sure to visit and check them all out.  Please go to my me button for additional information on collectibles we are offering!   PLEASE leave positive feedback - I always do.
