Complete restoration and racking by Sounds of Sweden in June/July 2008 The V76 has been completely serviced, new caps of highest quality, new wiring and the so important rubber dampeners below the tube stage has been replaced. This operation takes alot of time and requires the whole preamp to be deassembled. Not many people are qualified or will take the time to do this these days. The V76 is connected with its original connector via 220V step down transformer providing exactly 220V to the unit - as it was designed for. Ramped 48V with a 10-second power on and off sequence. The tubes are hand selected and tested NOS Telfunken EF804S.The W295b equalizer by Siemens is fully recapped with highest quality caps via the rare original connector it´s connected to a custom built 24v power supply.The V76 and the W295B can be used in a chain or as separate units - operating at the same time for two different sources.The rack itself is custom built sparing no costs what so ever. Swiss switches for Power and Phantom on the front and gold plated XLR connectors on the back.
