Description This 30 yr. old Stelling Bellflower flatop banjo has serial #627 dated 11/28/1977 and is in excellent shape with a great sound.  It is made of Japanese birch, Honey in color, has black binding around the edges and double line purfling down the back neck.  It was used for bluegrass music and has a 5/8" bridge setup.  Original labels still on the banjo are signed by Goeff Stelling. Fingerboard and frets were replaced at Stelling in 2004 and banjo does not have finger groove marks on the fretboard. Banjo was also disassembled and pot cleaned at same time.  Railroad spikes are installed in frets 7 thru 10.  Banjo has adjustable truss rod.  Strap and original case are included.  Banjo weight approximately 12.4 lbs.  Seller is including 182 different issues in great condition of the ever favorite Banjo Newsletter magazine.  Issues Include: 1976 Aug-Dec (5 issues); plus all 12 issues of 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 7 issues for 1985 (Jan-Jul), 11 issues for both 2006 (missing Sept) and 2007 (missing Jul) and 6 issues Jan-June for 2008, plus few odd issues!  The magazines would be shipped separate from the instrument at additional shipping fee depending on shipping selection.
