Description
Second owner, been in family since 1929. This is an exceptionally nice sounding Model A (1900) Steinway in original very good to excellent condition. It has excellent, beautiful tone. The bench is the original that came with, matches the piano, and opens for music storage. The soundboard is excellent NO CRACKS or ever previously repaired, the action has been regulated and plays quickly and easily. There is plenty of felt on the hammers for years of use. The bridges, dampers, strings and pin block are all original and in excellent condition. The keys are in very good shape a couple of very minor chips on the edges. Orginal Ivory keys not repaired or replaced!Maker: Steinway and Sons Model: “A” 6’1” Finish: Flamed African Mahogany Serial Number: 95569 Year: 1900 Summary: This piano is excellent shape. Action is original to piano and though it can use new hammers and shanks, the action is free and plays well. The case and soundboard are found to be in excellent. This Steinway is a piano that is player ready. With a few inexpensive upgrades to the action, this piano will brings years of use to the new owner(s).
