Description
Up for sale is my Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 Rev 3.3 with MIDI, newly re-foamed original anvil roadcase, original manual, and wine country long term survival kit. The survival kit includes 2 VCA IC chips, 2 control potentiometers, 1 control panel switch body, and two control panel knobs. This unit was purchased from Wine Country Sequential in 1999 and comes with a Certificate of Restoration from that time. This Prophet 5 is in superb condition. There are no missing knobs or switches. All knobs and switches are the originals. The wood is in beautiful condition with no flaws to speak of whatsoever. All parameters function exactly as they should on this synth. After 5 minutes of warm-up this synth tunes up perfectly and stays in tune. I've never had any problems with it whatsoever. PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: The silkscreening has worn off a bit around the volume knob, tune button, and bank select buttons. This can be seen in the photos, please look closely. Also, when the keyboard is not played for long periods of time, about 5 of the keys have a tendency to stutter when it is first played again. After the misbehaving keys are played a handful of times they return to normal and the keyboard works perfectly. This is due to oxidation on the J-wires and is an easy fix if it bothers you. When triggering the synth via MIDI this is obviously not an issue. I spent the majority of a day and $80 re-foaming the flight case so that it will have a safe travel (the old foam had completely deteriorated). Half of that price ($40) will he added to the shipping/handling fee. The rest of the shipping cost will be determined by how you want it shipped and where you want it shipped. The cheapest i can probably ship it for is around $60. So at the very minimum we are looking at is $100 for shipping/handling. i will be very fair and honest about shipping. it will cost you what it cost me plus $40 for the refoaming of the case. Guaranteed to be as described. Sold As Is. Thanks for Looking.
