Description This is an MAGNIFICENT Selmer Super Balanced Action Tenor Saxophone. In my opinion, the Super Balanced Action is the best tenor Selmer ever made. To me, they just sound sweeter than the Mark VIs, but they still have the keywork that made Selmer famous. This one is a beautiful instrument. This is a very early SBA. Indeed, some lists list this serial number as being a Balanced action, but you can clearly see the offset keys that are characteristic of the SBAs in the photo. Original lacquer is 90% present with wear at the contact points. It looks terrific. There are no other signs of damage. The pads feel very good and some of them are still original.
