Description
Here's an MAGNIFICENT Selmer Mark VI Tenor saxophone. You know all about these, I'm sure. This one is terrific. Serial number is 58419 (see pics) and is one of the first Mark VIs ever made. Original lacquer is about 95-98% present, with some wear consistent with play and on the neck (see pics). There is no sign of any damage to this horn that I can see and the serial # matches body and neck. Lacquer is absolutely gorgeous, with that deep honey color that these early VIs have. Pads are terrific and this horn plays GREAT as is. Pics tell the rest of the story! I've asked Seattle jazz legend RICH COLE to help me demo some of my horns.
