Description
You are bidding on a F. Schmidt FS179N French Horn. This instrument is in excellent condition, with no major scratches or dents. It has a gorgeous silver finish that will keep you in awe. I purchased this horn right before going to college to play in the band there. It is a professional-grade horn and would fit a high school or college-level player ideally. I only used this instrument for 2 seasons (which is only a few months out of the year since we used melophones to march with) and was put away in a closet at my parent's house for a year. It has been recently cleaned and is in excellent working condition. It comes with a black, plastic case with carrying shoulder strap, 2 mouthpieces, and a cleaning kit. Thanks and happy bidding! List price for this instrument is $4395.00. F/Bb, “Concert” model double horn, Kruspe valve style, large bell flair, string mechanism, nickel silver with clear lacquer w/ case (made in Germany) F. Schmidt is a professional, high quality line of musical instruments, made mostly in Markneukirchen, Germany. Markneukirchen has been the center of band instrument production in Europe for decades. Historically, all original musical instrument designs and manufacturing techniques were developed in the European market and migrated to the United States. These instruments are now being produced in new state-of-the-art factories in what was formally known as East Germany. The craftsmen who produce these instruments belong to a culture that has made musical instruments for many generations. The production of the F. Schmidt line is very limited and exclusive. All F. Schmidt instruments represent a combination of the best in European traditional up-to-date technology, resulting in an even response with minimal resistance. This allows the musician to perform with ease, and is perfect for solo performance or first chair in your band. Be sure to consider these instruments for your school music program!
