Description senajun store This flute is a handmade SANKYO CF-601 model. It has a very fast action and a wonderful sound. The low register is lush and easy to play. There is a lot of projection in the middle and the upper range and the flute is very flexible and speaks easily. This is a fine example of Japanese workmanship and a great playing flute. The Japanese and a large number of players in the UK and Europe favor the C Foot over the B Foot which only adds weight and is for the most part not used in the majority of orchestral, solo and band music. In my opinion the C Foot adds a vibrancy that is lost when using a B Foot and the need for a Gizmo Key for high C is not required. There is a lot to be said for a flute that is lighter and easier to balance and I find the passages in the Faure Fantasy that skips down to the low C# after the high B  much easier to slide my little finger around without the extra roller. This flute is the nect step up from a CF 501 and features solid silver keys and soldered tone holes.
