They don't make these anymore (nor do they make the model that followed it, the AX-7), so these are pretty hard to come by. There's usually 3 or so of them on ebay at any given time. This is strictly a controller, i.e. it doesn't have any sounds of its own; you have to play it through a synth module of some sort. It has a zillion features that you can read all about on the Roland website, including a modulation bar, pitch shift, split zones, etc. I'm guessing that if you're reading this, you already know what it can do and how cool these things are. Perfect for the front person who plays keys rather than guitar or nothing. Works on batteries or AC adapter, but I always felt that plugging this thing in to an outlet sort of defeated the purposes of playing a keyboard you could wander around the stage with, eh? No batteries or adapter are included. This keytar is in excellent shape cosmetically, and appears to be in perfect working condition. It comes with the original Roland strap. I have a case I've been keeping it in; if you're interested, we can negotiate a price for the case after this auction, but be advised that it is quite heavy and would make shipping pretty expensive. The case is NOT included in this auction. I think I have the original manual somewhere, and will include that if I can find it. If I can't track it down, these things are usually available online. I am the original owner of this instrument, and can assure you that it has been well cared for. I did gig some with it, but never abused it and never spilled beer or any other substance on it. It looks great, and as far as I can tell still performs as new. Because this is a piece of used electronic equipment, I offer no guarantees beyond that it will arrive in working order.
