Description
Vintage Rogers Drum Set You are bidding on a three (3) piece set of Blue Onyx Rogers Drums - 1967/1969 Holiday series Rogers Drum Kit. It's all original and a truly beautiful kit.  Set consists of a 22in kick drum, 13in rack tom, and 16in floor tom – kick drum and floor tom are Fullerton labeled (see pictures), 13in rack tom is Dayton labeled (see pictures - I actually have two identical 13in toms, this is the better one - both Dayton era - see my other auctions). All of the drums have the original Rogers hardware, mufflers, mounting hardware (Fullerton collets - sorry), original tension rods and T-hooks - good chrome. You must see this drum kit to believe it.  I bought this kit in 1972 as a practice kit from "Drums Unlimited" in Bethesda Maryland.  The seam on the wrap is nice, tight and all of the bearing edges are original from the factory. The 3-ply maple shell is painted flat and flake gray and has maple reinforcement hoops. The drums are original except for the heads and collets. I have some older 70's Pearl stands that are included (2 cymbal, 1 hit hat) and I'll even throw in a 70's era Ludwig Speed King pedal as well (pictures have a Pearl pedal).  Rogers 13 X 8” rack tom ~ Labeled Dayton Ohio. Good Shape for its age. Not the original collet (70’s era cast collet) Aquarian heads.  Rogers 16x16 floor tom ~ Labeled Fullerton, CA. Good Shape for its age  – Aquarian heads.  Rogers 22x14" Bass Drum ~ Fullerton, CA - Bass originally had 1 mounted tom and one cymbal mount, and center mounted cymbal mount.  Remo heads and a replacement Rogers head on front.THRONE, CYMBALS AND SNARE DRUM/SNARE STAND IN PICTURES ARE NOT INCLUDED - JUST THE BLUE ONYX DRUMS AND THE CYMBAL STANDS (2) and HI HAT STAND I would prefer local pick up (Northern Virginia) but will ship - buyer assumes all shipping responsibility, costs and must provide insurance - shipping cost will be added to final price. NO Returns on this item. Bid with confidence-see feedbacks. Thanks!    On Sep-05-08 at 11:49:59 PDT, seller added the following information:eBay estimated the shipping, not me - I believe I can ship the entire drum set and stands in one 22in drum set box for about $75 ground. However I cannot calculate the price until I have it packed up and ready to ship - so buyer assumes ACTUAL shipping costs (which I will document) and insurance costs. I will not charge anything for local pickup, even if I have to pack it up.On Sep-07-08 at 13:19:37 PDT, seller added the following information:I have been getting questions concerning the hardware, mounting hardware, cymbal arm and splash cymbal fixtures (on the bass drum) etc...All the mounting hardware as follows is included with the drum set:cymbal arms (2) on the kick drum - one straight hex arm (center mount) and one "L" arm (the bottom of the L arm is a replacement, not hex- both Swiv-O-Matic topsstands (2 early 70's Pearl cymbal) and hi hat (early 70's Pearl) mounting arm for the single 13in tom (single long Rogers Swiv-O-Matic)kick drum spurs (for 22in kick drum, hex with rubber tips)floor tom legsThe kit is ready to play - just add cymbals - even the heads are new!!   The Rogers head on the front of the kick is a replacement, Rogers replacement vinyl label not screened - I even have a 70' era Speed King pedal that will be included. PLEASE NOTE: Everything in the pictures except the snare drum and stand, throne and the cymbals are included (the furniture in the picture is not included either). This is a nice kit, sounds good and sets up well - the collets are in good shape (they have been replaced over the years with Fullerton era cast collets and I have never tried to replace them with the machined collets from the early era drums, although I know they can be found (maybe on eBay !)...Hope this answers the questions - now lets see if this set sells.
