Originally coming from Mittenwald, Anton Zunterer (1858–1917) opened his own workshop in Munich in the late 1800s. Beautiful master piece- please scroll down to see all detailed photos as part of the description! Its a very well crafted instrument, with accurately worked inlay purfling and finely carved scroll. This beautiful master violin shows no cracks, and only some minor marks in it´s beautiful old hazel varnish. The table is finely grained spruce and the one-piece back is - as well as the neck and ribs - nicely flamed maple. The ebony pegs are fitting well, the ebony fingerboard is plain and the ebony tail piece is mounted with a fine tuner/adjuster. All 8 peg holes have been bushed.
