Johann Georg Gütter (1759–1829) established his own workshop in Markneukirchen in the late 1800s. Beautiful master piece- please scroll down to see all detailed photos as part of the description! Its a very well crafted instrument, with accurately worked inlay purfling and finely carved scroll. This beautiful master violin shows no cracks, and only some minor marks in it´s beautiful old amber varnish. There're signs of old wood worm, but all holes are closed. The table is medium grained spruce and the one-piece back is - as well as the neck and ribs - nicely flamed maple. The ebony pegs are fitting well, the ebony fingerboard is plain and the ebony tail piece is mounted with a fine tuner/adjuster. The instrument has gut strings mounted.
