You very rarely see Selmer Paris-made C Melodies, making this an extremely rare find. This horn is in pristine condition. It was probably originally a bare brass instrument, and looks to have been later lacquered. There is also evidence of it being lacquered at the Selmer factory, the color and type looks like a vintage Selmer lacquer. There is only light specklish wear and overall the lacquer is 99% intact. Pads are in good condition with flat metal resonators. It is not sealing well and good use some set up. However because of the uniqueness of this horn we are offering it as-is in its current condition. We can do a set up at an extra charge if the buyer wishes. If you want a piece of Selmer history you don't want to miss out on this horn. It is great for the collector or even for the player wanting to round out the sax family. They do not come along often!
