Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 These are NOT YOUR TYPICAL CHEAP RIBBON MICS.  These microphones have a special history and they are no longer available new, and there is no other similar mic out there that includes everything these do.   This mic was built using the same technology and specs (and supposedly even in the same factory) as the Nady RSM-2 mic.  It seems that in China the laws of patents are different or non-existent, which allowed for the creation of these mics.  There were only a small handful of these mics made as part of a mass group order.  If I remember correctly, there were only a couple 100 mics made for this special order, which I was a part of (meaning I am the original owner).  I have also heard rumors that other manufacturers have created their own Nady-component-based versions of this mic using the same or similar specs and place of manufacturing.  I know that not long after purchasing these, there were some lawsuits between Nady and the other resellers of this mic technology because of patents and such.  These particular mics were then no longer able to be sold for a period of time, however, they are back on the market (as you may have noticed), but not with the superior special packaging and external constructions like the mics I am selling here.  The main difference between these mics and what Nady and other manufacturers are selling is:- These mics have a slightly sturdier external structure- These mics do not have a mic cable soldered directly into the mic, but do come with a 20 ft, heavy duty XLR-XLR mic cable. (This is really important because you can use your own cable if you wish or trade out the one that comes with the mic for another.  Just think of all the trouble you'd have if the cable went bad on one of the Nady mics with the cable attached!!!)- This mic comes with a padded mic bag- This mic comes with a well designed aliminum case.Personal History Of These Mics and SellerI am the original owner of these mics.  They have only been used in my recording studio, in a controlled environment.  They have been well taken care of and never dropped and have no damage to them whatsoever.  I am selling them because I have upgraded to more expensive ribbon microphones and could use the money for other things in my studio.  They are great mics for all sorts of uses and I have enjoyed them and relied on them heavily for electric guitars and drum overheads with great results (as well as other sounds).  If you'd like to hear a sample of them check out www.myspace.com/nateanchor.  The drumset for the top song, "Thunder Hummin'", was recorded using only these mics and one kick drum mic.  All of the other songs use these as overheads, and the one acoustic song, "Clara," uses these as the room mics, delivering the main sound to that mix.
