Description
This 3 rank Schantz organ was built in Orrville, Ohio in 1953, and was used at Concordia College, River Forrest, IL as a practice organ.  I bought it in 1994 and installed it in my basement. Because of a seven foot ceiling hight, some of the longer pipes were installed horizontally on the walls. The pipes are connected to the wind chest with plastic tubing.  The original blower motor, bellows, and wind chests are intact. The photo shows the front and back covers missing, but they are available and useable. The only items missing are the sound volume control shutters. The organ is in good playable condition, and the manual stops and pedal stops are as follows: Manual I: 8' Rohr-floete, 4' Principal, 4' Rohr Octave, 2 2/3' Nasat, and 2' Octave. Manual II: 8' Spitzfloete, 4' Rohr-floete, 2' Spitz Octave, and 1 1/3' Klein-nasat. Pedal stops are: 16' Gedact Bass, 8" Rohrfloete, 8' Spitz Octave, 4' Choral Bass, and 2' Rohrfloete. Also there are the stops Manual II to Manual I, and Manual I to Pedal, and Manual II to Pedal. The buyer must be able to arrange for dismantalling the organ and moving it. I could help with some of this. The organ is located in rural St. Charles, IL. Payment would have to be by a certified check.
