Piano sheet music dated 1913, Joe Morris Co., New York Start Price USD 49.99 Current Price USD 49.99 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Sunday, September 07, 2008 End Time Sunday, September 14, 2008 Location Wisconsin Rapids, WI See more about 'Piano sheet music dated 1913, Joe Morris Co., New York' Description From my grandfather's collection, original piano sheet music dated 1913, the song "In the Valley of the Moon" which was played in the onstage drama "The Better Way" directed by Eugene Walter, featuring the popular stage actress Charlotte Walker.  Born in 1876, Charlotte made her first debut at age 19 in 1895 in London, England.  She returned to the United States where she continued performing on the broadway stage. In 1915 she started appearing in the silent motion pictures.  Charlotte's signature is written on the picture of her, it looks like it could be an original signature on the sheet music because it does not have a glossy look like the rest of the picture.  But I am not sure.  This sheet music is 95 years old, passed down the family line from my grandfather to my father, and then to me.  The pages are tattered on the edges from a lot of use, my grandfather and father played piano whenever they had guests. The paper has yellowed from age, but what a marvelous glimpse of entertainment history from almost 100 years ago.  Place a Bid!
