Description This auction is for a pair of Mackie SA-1521 powered speakers.  These were MADE IN ITALY Mackie speakers and the are NOT the Z series.  In other words these are the best versions of these speakers.  I have spoken with many DJ’s and sound engineers who won’t buy anything from Mackie if it isn’t Made in Italy.  Some DJ’s have even returned the “Z” model speakers after listening to them beside the original models.  I was told that the new speakers use cheaper components and have lower wattage ratings.   I bought them used two years ago from a music store and they are in excellent working condition and have been treated well.  They show some normal markings on the plastic and one of the metal screens is not perfect but not bad.  They are very presentable (and I am very picky).  I would love to hang on to these speakers, but I don’t get to use them as often as I would like.     All of my equipment is kept in my climate controlled office and is routinely checked over for performance and quality.  I have never replaced or repaired any part of these speakers.
